Zadar
For centuries the capital of Dalmatia today it is the center of the region, a town rich with historical monuments renowned around the world that can be found literally behind every corner: Roman Forum from first century AD, church of saint Donat from ninth century which is one of the most famous medieval basilicas and the trademark of Zadar, renovated Romanesque church of saint Krsevan from twelfth century, the belfry of the church of saint Mary, dated 1105. saint Anastasia cathedral from the thirteenth century, town square with a loggia and a guard-house from the sixteenth century, powerful town-walls all around the historical center with harbour and land entries, the square of three wells and the square of five wells, together with numerous palaces, villas, and other historical monuments.
Another reason for its allure is the geographic situation in the very center of the Adriatic coast surrounded by almost 300 islands and islets as well as by four National Parks: The Lakes of Plitvice, mountainous park Paklenica, unique waterfalls of the river Krka and the beautiful archipelago of Kornati.

In numerous Zadar restaurants and inns one can have a taste of the domestic specialties and drinks among which stands out Maraskino, a famous liqueur that has been enjoyed on European courts during the nineteenth century, it is being produced since 1821 in Zadar. We recommend you restaurants Foša, Zadar Jadera and Dva Ribara ( in the historical center of Zadar) and restaurant Niko ( just next to our apartments).
If you are looking for sport and recreational activities you will find numerous tennis courts (in immediate vicinity- 150 meters) football, basketball, handball playgrounds, there are also great conditions for water-sports like wind-surfing, rowing, diving, recreational fishing.

The cultural life is also very rich during the summer. We will mention just the traditional Classical Music Nights in Saint Donat, New Theatre Festival, Zadar Theatre Summer, and various art events. We certainly recommend you to visit the museum of sacral art – “Zlato i srebro Zadra” (Gold and Silver of Zadar).
Nightlife consists of numerous nightclubs that are open all night. We recommend you to visit the open-air club
Garden, disco club Gotham and night-club Arsenal.
